222 Jacobs Street at Cambridge Crossing Wins BOMA Boston’s Corporate Facility of the Year Award

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – DivcoWest, a DivCore Capital company and the national real estate investment and development team behind the destination neighborhood and innovation hub, Cambridge Crossing (CX), announced that 222 Jacobs Street, one of CX’s premier life sciences and technology buildings, has been awarded The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award for Corporate Facility of the Year by the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) Boston.

The TOBY Awards recognize and reward excellence in building management in the most prestigious and comprehensive program of its kind in the commercial real estate industry. This year, nine Greater Boston properties received the prestigious award. Judging criteria include community impact, sustainability, accessibility, emergency procedures, employee relations, training programs, and overall quality. Industry experts also conducted in-depth building inspections.

222 Jacobs is a 430,000 SF, state-of-the-art building at Cambridge Crossing, home to Philips North American Innovation Center and Abbvie. Located in the heart of CX, it includes a sun-soaked lobby with a two-story green wall, a shared conference center, a 120-space bike room with showers, below-grade parking, and on-site retailers including Tatte Bakery & Café and Bon Me.

Other tenants at Cambridge Crossing include world-class companies like Bristol Myers Squibb, Sanofi, and Astellas Pharma. The neighborhood features 4.5 million square feet of mixed-use space, nearly half dedicated to life sciences and technology. CX also offers 11 acres of open space, unique eateries with access to Green and Orange Line stations, four bus lines, six Bluebike stations, dedicated bike lanes, and the Community Path trail linking Kendall Square, Boston, Charlestown, and Somerville.
