BOSTON–Jill Sharif is the immediate Past President of CREW Boston, one of the largest CREW Network chapters, refocusing and leading the organization through the height of the pandemic and is currently serving as the chair of CREW Boston’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force.

On Feb. 17, Boston Real Estate Times will honor Sharif as one of the 10 Outstanding Women leaders in commercial real estate in a virtual award ceremony. To register for the event, please click here.

As Vice President of National Business Development for First American’s National Commercial Services Division, Sharif is responsible for the marketing and business development for First American Title Insurance Company’s National Commercial Services Division’s array of products and services.

As such, she has provided numerous presentations on the application of the EAGLE 9® UCC Insurance Policy for Lender’s and Buyer’s, as well as, Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, title insurance, and title insurance for real estate mezzanine loan transactions. A 3-time winner (2019, 2017 and 2013- the award’s inaugural year) of the DPK Circle of Excellence, an award that recognizes the highest performing members of the sales and escrow teams, Sharif has expanded the commercial title and escrow services across the country for First American’s National Commercial Services Division.

Sharif has worked on numerous complex projects throughout the country for all asset classes. She, along with many others, were honored with the CREW Boston Networking Award in 2018 for her contributions to the One Dalton project in Boston. Her most recent projects include 10 & 50 Prospect Street, part of the Union Square (USQ) redevelopment in Somerville, MA and the Commonwealth Pier, a development by Pembroke.

She was named the 80th CREW Visionary in 2020, a recognition for charitable giving to advance the careers of women in commercial real estate.

A leading voice in the title insurance industry, Sharif has participated on many industry panels, clarifying and expanding on title insurance, the application of UCC Insurance (EAGLE 9® UCC Insurance Policy for Lender’s and Buyer’s), Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, and title insurance for real estate mezzanine transactions. She has also provided numerous presentations to companies that want a detailed look at UCC and other commercial transactions.

Sharif is a member of ICSC, NAIOP, REFA, and ULI (member of the URC Product Council).  She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut.
