BOSTON– Workbar has announced plans to open a brand new workspace located in downtown Salem, MA. Slated to open in February 2019, the 6,500 square foot workspace marks Workbar’s 10th location in Massachusetts, and extends on its commitment to offer professionals and entrepreneurs quality workspaces in both urban and suburban regions.

“With its rich history and dedication to fostering an innovative community, Salem is the perfect city for Workbar’s milestone 10th location in Massachusetts. We are excited to bring a friendly, productive and convenient workspace to one of the fastest growing hubs north of Boston” said Sarah Travers, CEO of Workbar.

Centrally located on Washington Street, Workbar Salem will serve as a modern coworking nerve center featuring  Workbar’s trademark “neighborhood” layout, in addition to furnished private offices that will accommodate teams of up to eight members.

Given the location of the space, Workbar members in the new Salem location will enjoy all the amenities of a thriving commercial downtown, including direct access to the Salem Station commuter rail, award-winning restaurants and bars, waterfront shopping, and more.

In addition to hosting Workbar Salem on the second floor, the newly-renovated Peabody Building at 120 Washington Street, operated by property management company RCG LLC will also feature brand-new apartments, making the building a fantastic addition to the booming business and residential center in downtown Salem.

“RCG is extremely excited to announce that Workbar will be opening its first Salem outpost in the Peabody Building. As part of a significant renovation of the former home of the City of Salem Annex, RCG will also add 14 more residential homes and open an underground garage at the site. The entire project is expected to be completed by the spring of 2019,” said Jim Gagnon, Vice President of RCG LLC.

“Salem has long been a city filled with creative, forward-thinking people. As our local business economy has grown over the years, the demand for modern work space has been amplified. Workbar builds innovative spaces, and their commitment to developing collaborative work and social communities make them a perfect fit for the city of Salem,” said Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll.

Workbar has now officially begun membership and office suite pre-sales in preparation for its February 2019 opening.
