DAYTON— Woolpert is hiring and deploying engineers, architects, project managers, and related professional and technical services personnel to aid in recovery efforts under a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance Technical Assistance Contract (PA TAC) IV.

These professionals evaluate and assess damage and needed repairs to public infrastructure after federally declared natural disasters or emergencies.

Woolpert FEMA Team Leader Natasha Hartley said civil engineers, project managers and site inspectors are most in need, along with associated subdisciplines. The contract addresses a 17-state region, which includes Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana.

“These services are crucial to evaluating the structural integrity of the roads, bridges, airports and buildings hardest hit by disaster,” Hartley said. “That’s why we hire these positions as regular, full-time employees with full benefits, rather than contractors, and why we cover all expenses while they are deployed. We protect them, so they can protect those most in need.”

Serco Inc.—a professional, technology and management services provider—is the prime contractor on this five-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity FEMA contract, signed in 2018.
