DEDHAM, MA–Ten years ago, Legacy Placewas Massachusetts’ first open air lifestyle center, combining first-to-market retail and topnotch dining experiences with a spacious pedestrian-friendly outdoor layout. Looking forward a decade, Legacy Place is charting its course, combining experiential retail, digitally native brands, relevant eateries, as well as the unique programming, vibrant nightlife, and services the center built its reputation on.

This week Legacy Place announced that global lifestyle and design brand West Elm has signed a 11,000+ sq. ft. lease at the Dedham property. West Elm is joined by custom men’s clothier, Indochino, and local neighborhood barbershop, Anfa Barber Shop later this year. Additionally, the property’s successful Peloton location will move into a larger space with a studio showcasing exclusive apparel and instant access to high-energy workouts via its proprietary bike and tread.

Founded in Brooklyn, New York as a branch of global frontrunner Williams-Sonoma, Inc., West Elm focuses on the intersection of modern design, affordability and community with the goal of helping consumers express their personal style. West Elm’s new Legacy Place showroom will feature its original furniture and home goods, 90% of which are designed in-house with special attention given to selecting organic, handcrafted, sustainably sourced and Fair Trade Certified™ products. The company mirrors Legacy Place’s affinity for art and design by supporting local artists,  empowering store managers to tailor their own inventory and providing customers with access to complimentary personalized styling and design with West Elm’s Design Crew.

Indochino, founded on the belief that no one should have to spend a fortune on a custom wardrobe, has evolved into a world-class retailer making custom men’s clothing an affordable reality. Its newest Legacy Place showroom will offer custom suits, chinos, blazers and overcoats. Customers are paired with their own expert Style Guide who leads them through the creation of one-of-a-kind pieces by selecting from hundreds of fabrics and endless options to add a personalized touch, be it a monogram, lapel, pocket or lining. Style Guides collect precise measurements upon consultation to create custom pieces which are shipped directly to their customers’ doors in less than a month.

WS Development continues to curate a balanced mix of global retailers as well as small and local businesses for Legacy Place, including specialty barbershop, Anfa Barber Shop. The barber will open its second location this year at Legacy Place, sharing its down-to-earth and service-driven approach to personal grooming with the Greater Boston community.

Following its success at its current location at Legacy Place, Peloton will shift to a new-and-improved studio within the property. The revamped showroom is expected to showcase Peloton Bikes and Treads, serving as a central hub where current and prospective members can book a test class, receive personalized tutorials and purchase the coveted fitness machines and apparel.

As Legacy Place celebrates 10 years in the community, the property continues its legacy as the area’s top lifestyle destination, offering 75+ retailers, dynamic events and entertainment, chef-driven eateries and vibrant nightlife. Shoppers can expect more openings announced throughout the year as well as new and exciting programming, amenities and more.
