Mr. Gutierrez joined the firm in 2018 as a project manager. In his new role, he is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing Vantage Builders’ ground-up construction, design-build and renovation projects for the firm’s commercial, education, cannabis, industrial, healthcare and retail clients. During his tenure at Vantage Builders, Mr. Gutierrez has completed projects for MIT, Hobbs Brook Management, FM Global, Carpionato Group, and Harbor House Collective, among others.
“Carlos has demonstrated an excellent work ethic and a keen understanding of our clients’ business needs, not only their construction requirements,” said John Connor, Principal, Vantage Builders. “During his time at Vantage, he has been entrusted with ever-larger projects and has managed them all successfully. He has never had a job go over schedule, which is a testament to his organizational and communication skills, as well as ability to manage personnel and to solve the inevitable issues that arise during construction projects.”
Prior to joining Vantage Builders in 2018, Mr. Gutierrez was a project manager for Wellen Construction, where he had a primary focus on medical office renovations and build-outs. Previously, he was a project manager for Candas Construction in Miami, Florida, successfully completing retail, medical and office projects ranging in size up to $900K.
Before entering the construction industry, Mr. Gutierrez pursued a career in Major League Baseball. He pitched for the Minnesota Twins and Chicago Cubs, from 2008 – 2014, and the firm expects him to be an integral part of the Vantage Builders softball team in the next CBA tournament. Mr. Gutierrez graduated from the University of Miami and holds a Construction Supervisor License.
