Nitsch Engineering Elects Three New Vice Presidents

BOSTON– Nitsch Engineering announced the company’s Board of Directors voted to elect three company leaders Vice Presidents and Officers of the Corporation: Matthew Brassard, PE, ENV SP, Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager; Deborah Danik, PE, CPESC, LEED AP BD+C, Deputy Director of Civil Engineering; and Stephen Farr, PE, ENV SP, LEED Green Associate, Senior Project Manager.

Nitsch Engineering’s President and CEO Lisa A. Brothers, PE, ENV SP, LEED AP BD+C said, “Vice Presidents are elected based on their demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking, and commitment to our core values. Matt, Deb, and Steve have excelled in each of these areas, and have made significant impacts on our growth in their years with the company. I’m excited to work with them to continue driving Nitsch Engineering forward.”

Matthew Brassard

Matt Brassard is a civil engineer with over 35 years of broad experience related to site development projects. As Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager, Matt oversees the growth and development of Nitsch Engineering’s DC office. He also manages strategic projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and New England. He serves on the NAIOP DC Sustainability Committee. Matt currently serves on Nitsch’s Executive Committee where he is part of the core team managing the day-to-day operations of the company. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of New Hampshire, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Deb Danik has 19 years of experience as a civil engineer, with an emphasis on designing urban sites, integrating sustainable site practices, and resolving permitting issues in the City of Boston. She is Vice Chair of Nitsch Engineering’s Board of Directors, and Chair of the Board’s Leadership and Succession Planning Subcommittee. Deb helped establish Nitsch Cares, an employee resource group (ERG) that functions as the philanthropic arm of Nitsch Engineering, and is actively involved in the Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging ERG. She is Co-Chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) Engineering Excellence Awards Committee. She is the 2010 recipient of the Boston Society for Civil Engineers Section (BSCES) Younger Member of the Year Award. Deb received a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Steve Farr

Steve Farr has 30 years of experience in the engineering field. His experience has centered around designing roadway improvements that balance multi-modal safety with operational efficiency, while integrating green infrastructure. Steve has coordinated with various local and state authorities for transportation engineering projects in municipalities throughout Massachusetts. He serves on Nitsch Engineering’s Board of Directors. Steve is a member of the Town of Needham’s Conservation Commission, and has been a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers since 1988. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
