WALTHAM, Mass.– Trinity Life Sciences, a leader in global life sciences solutions, is sharing findings from its latest TGaS Landscape report entitled, “Building Commercial Teams in the Age of COVID.” The report, targeted at emerging biopharma chief commercial officers (CCOs), reveals trends in building teams and culture during the COVID pandemic.
The report, based on 26 in-depth qualitative interviews with CCOs in August, September and October 2020, covers topics such as resources for finding and recruiting candidates, conducting remote interviews, building culture in a remote environment, flexibility in job responsibilities, long-distance hires, relocation, and more.
According to the report, CCOs are looking for people with diversity of thought, candidates who have a lot of different experiences, and flexibility.
“Most CCOs are willing to adjust the scope or focus of key roles to bring desired candidates on board, usually because they feel finding a candidate with all of the experience they seek is unrealistic,” said Curtis Staab, Sr. Vice President, TGaS Advisors, a division of Trinity. “Flexibility can take a few forms – for example, moving responsibility for patient services from a Market Access leader to a Commercial Operations leader if the parties’ expertise works best with that arrangement.”
