Boston – Nasuni, a leading provider of cloud file services, announced the opening of its newest office, a satellite location in Marlborough, MA that will support the company’s rapidly growing engineering team. Nasuni is hiring software engineers as demand for the company’s multi-cloud platform continues to increase.

The new hires at the MetroWest, Marlborough office will complement the growing engineering teams at the company’s headquarters at One Marina Park Drive in Boston’s Seaport District and at the engineering and customer support office Nasuni opened in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park last fall. Positions are available at all locations for those with software engineering, development and quality assurance skills and experience. The company is also hiring technical customer support professionals at the three offices.

“Boston is a hotbed of tech expertise and the city’s energy aligns well with the disruptive nature of our work,” said Scott Dussault, CFO and COO of Nasuni. “The MetroWest region has a strong enterprise IT heritage. Our Marlborough office will enable us to draw from this significant pool of talent and attract those who want to be part of an exciting shift in tech, but don’t want to commute into the city. It will also allow us to provide more flexibility for our existing employees.”

The configuration of the new office is similar to Nasuni’s headquarters, which is designed to encourage easy collaboration among employees. Like its counterpart in Durham, North Carolina, the office in Marlborough features a high-performance video conferencing system that enables engineers to work closely with their colleagues at any location.

Nasuni’s expansion into the I-495 corridor and MetroWest region reflects its dramatic growth. In 2018, Nasuni’s software subscription revenue increased by 52 percent year-over-year and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) continued to accelerate – achieving a five-year compounded ARR growth rate of 66 percent, with an increase of 120 percent over the previous two years. Nasuni also introduced the first multi-cloud solution that combines primary and archive file storage and automatically reduces costs as files age – an innovation that eliminates the need for IT departments to constantly move files to less expensive, slower storage tiers.

Notably, Nasuni’s platform enables companies to embrace a new approach to file storage and the management of unstructured data – one that combines the performance and control associated with network-attached storage and the unlimited capacity, inherent resiliency and economy of the cloud. Powered by UniFS, the company’s patented global file system designed for public and private cloud object storage, Nasuni Cloud File Services include NASUNI PRIMARY™NASUNI ARCHIVE™NASUNI SYNCHRONIZE™ and NASUNI COLLABORATE™.

“Our customers in industries like financial services, manufacturing and retail rely on Nasuni Cloud File Services largely because we help them safeguard the safety of their mission-critical files and they can lower their storage costs by up to 60 percent,” adds Dussault. “Leaders in fields like video game development and architecture rely on us largely because we enable new ways of working with files that are not only mission-critical but are the end product. We are changing not only how enterprises manage their unstructured data, but how entire industries do business.”
