WALTHAM, MA – Vantage Builders announced that Margaret Cachel has been promoted to Director of Cannabis. In this new role, Ms. Cachel will lead the firm’s business unit focused on the Cannabis Construction market, overseeing cannabis projects, estimating, business development and marketing efforts.

To date Vantage Builders has had more than 25 cannabis cultivation facility and dispensary projects either completed or in process, totaling more than 600,000 square feet of space. Recently the firm broke ground on its first project in Florida, a cannabis dispensary build-out for Sanctuary Medicinals.

“Vantage Builders has established itself as a leader in the cannabis construction market, working with more than a dozen different cannabis entrepreneurs and companies,” said John Connor, principal of Vantage Builders. “Margaret has gained an in-depth understanding of the complexities and issues involved in cannabis construction, from conceptual budgeting, permitting and site selection to systems work, lighting and ADA compliance. She has become one of the most sought-after experts in cannabis construction.”

Ms. Cachel has more than 25 years in the construction industry, with a focus in estimating, project coordination and contract management. Prior to her role as Director of Cannabis, she was Vantage Builders’ Chief Estimator. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, she was a project contract administrator for Energy Management of New England for 18 years and a design engineer for Syska Hennessy Group for seven years. She graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland.

“The cannabis market has opened tremendous opportunity for Vantage Builders and in just a few years has become one of our most critical business segments,” said Cachel. “There is an almost tangible energy in the market, with many entrepreneurs, investors and new companies, and it is very exciting to be part of it.”
