Hobbs Brook Management Appoints Three to its Leadership Team

Waltham, MA– Hobbs Brook Management LLC, a developer, owner and operator of premier office and life science space in the Boston suburbs, announce the addition of three new directors to its growing team.

Commercial real estate veterans Jerome Kyllingstad, Matthew Donaghey and Suzanne Leblanc will respectively serve as Director of Operations, Director of Asset Management and Director of Corporate Real Estate.

Their combined 74 years of experience brings excellence and leadership in technology and innovation, asset management, and tenant satisfaction to the firm and its 5 million square foot portfolio that consists of new development, redevelopment, and long-term asset holdings.

As Director of Operations, Matt Donaghey will oversee Hobbs Brook’s daily operations, bringing to bear his 15 years in real estate operations, acquisitions, development, leasing, financing, dispositions, design, and asset and property management. He will also leverage his years in various advisory roles for technology companies to ensure Hobbs Brook continues along the most innovative path forward, applying his knowledge of logistics, material science, artificial intelligence, real estate technologies and building automation systems. Prior to joining Hobbs Brook, Matt served as a Managing Director and Principal at Cricket Realty Holdings, where he acquired and repositioned more than six million square feet in commercial real estate assets across multiple sectors throughout the country. Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northeastern University and is a graduate of the United States Marine Corps Tactical Training School. He has also served in the United States Marine Corps with an occupational specialty in technology data and communications. He serves on the Board of Directors for the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn and is a past President.

As Director of Asset Management, Jerome Kyllingstad will oversee Hobbs Brook’s entire commercial portfolio and will collaborate with leadership to ensure each building provides a state-of-the-art environment and services. He brings 28 years of extensive industry experience to the company, having spent more than 22 years at National Development, most recently as Vice President of Asset Management. Prior to National Development, Jerome was at Trammel Crow and Travelers Realty Investment Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the University of New Hampshire. Jerome is an active member of NAIOP and ULI. He also serves on the board of the Farms-Prides Community Association, and is a member of the Trustees of Reservations, the Essex County Greenbelt Association, and the Manchester Essex Conservation Trust.

As Director of Corporate Real Estate, Suzanne Leblanc will manage the FM Global corporate real estate portfolio, spearheading the leasing and tenant improvements for their 2 million square feet of space across 60 locations around the world. Suzanne brings 31 years of extensive corporate real estate experience to this role, applying her expertise in real estate portfolio management and strategy, customer and executive relationship management, design and workplace innovation, financial performance, and project delivery. During her career, she has successfully led the development and implementation of workplace standards for multiple corporations. Most recently, Suzanne served as Director of Global Real Estate and Facilities at Mercury Systems. She holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and interior design from UMass Amherst and is a former board member and currently a frequent panelist for CoreNet Global New England.

Matt, Jerome and Suzanne will each be based at Hobbs Brook’s Boston-area headquarters at 404 Wyman Street in Waltham, near the company’s newest development, 225 Wyman. When completed in 2022, this new 500,000 square foot, five-story ground-up development will be equipped to support the most progressive and sophisticated life science and office users. Designed by Gensler, it is highly engineered, sustainably designed, and rich in amenities.
