BOSTON – Gensler, an architecture, design, and planning firm with 46 locations around the world, announced the promotion of Todd Dundon and Alex Fernández to Principals.

Dundon, AIA, LEED AP, is an architect with over 20 years of experience designing and leading projects for a wide variety clients. As a Studio Director in Gensler’s Boston office and a Firmwide leader of Gensler’s Corporate Campus Practice Area, Todd has built a deep expertise in the design and delivery of corporate campuses and new and repositioned commercial office buildings. Some of his recent and current projects include the new Partners HealthCare Administrative Campus in Somerville, MA; Building 400 at River’s Edge, Medford, MA; L.L. Bean, Freeport, ME; and renovations to One Federal Street, Boston, MA and 75-101 Federal Street, Boston, MA.
He holds a Bachelor in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati School of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.
Fernández, AIA, is a designer with over 20 years of experience. His global portfolio includes a mix of project types and scales: master plans, corporate campuses, mixed-use developments, retail centers, and a wide range of academic projects. As a Design Director in Gensler’s Boston office, Alex delivers design solutions that focus on both beauty and performance. Alex’s current and past projects include a new 500,000 square foot campus for MathWorks, Natick, MA; Partners HealthCare’s new campus, Somerville, MA; and the Foisie Innovation Studio and Residence Hall, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, MA; and the KA Care Competition, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
He has won numerous design awards, including a fellowship at The MacDowell Colony and the Gabriel Prize, a national research fellowship. Alex earned his Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Architecture from Syracuse University’s campuses in New York and Florence.
