WALTHAM, MA–Simone LaPray, Executive Director for TiE Boston, a business organization that fosters entrepreneurship through mentoring, networking, education and funding, will speak at the New Generation of Tenants Summit on June 6 at the Westin Hotel in Waltham, MA.

TiE Boston is one of the region’s oldest and largest organizations supporting the Massachusetts entrepreneurial ecosystem, focused on supporting entrepreneurs throughout their lifecycle — from ideation to creation, through growth, wealth creation and ultimately, support of future founders.

Ms. LaPray will join Nick Svencer, Vice President of Operations at Augmenix, Inc., at the panel which will be moderated by Upendra Mishra, publisher and editor of Boston Real Estate Times.

With the collective support of its members, TiE Boston engages entrepreneurs to learn about the next trends in innovation while building long-term relationships.  After serving as a Small Business Volunteer in the Peace Corps and working with startups for over 10 years, Simone found that businesses can empower communities and that it takes a community to grow a business. She holds an MBA from Brandeis University.

Ms. LaPray will talk about what today’s entrepreneurs want when it comes to their working spaces.

The summit will be held from 7:15 am to 10:00 am on June 6 at the Westin Hotel, located at 70 Third Avenue in Waltham, MA.

As the work landscape changes, tenants want different types of space for recruiting and retaining quality workers. This new generation of commercial real estate tenants want flexibility; new amenities such as food, fitness, community and media; and they are increasingly looking at buildings as tools to recruit and retain talent.

But they also present new questions to the industry, such as:

  • Which is best for tenants: longer, shorter or flexible leases?
  • Is open office space really easy to lease?
  • Why not just offer coworking space for lab, research and office?
  • How do sustainability and green design play a role in attracting a tenant?
  • Do they want a new kind of property manager and the latest tools?
  • Are ping-pong tables, yoga mats and high-speed internet really the top priority for office users today?

Learn about the changing needs and wants of this new generation of commercial real estate tenants from experts on June 6th, 2019 at the Boston Real Estate Summit at the Westin Waltham Hotel.
