Holliston, MA – Colantonio Inc. recently completed the occupied renovation of the Arthur O’Shea House in Brookline for the Brookline Housing Authority (BHA).

Colantonio transformed each of the 100 units in the high-rise building in multiple phases by upgrading the bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms. Improvements included sustainable features such as high-efficiency electric heating and cooling systems, LED lighting throughout the building, low-flow water fixtures, and low volatile organic compound (VOC) and recycled building materials.

The project extended to the exterior of the brick building with Colantonio overseeing envelope repairs and self-performing site work, including landscaping, hardscaping, and paving.

“Occupied renovations are difficult because tenants have to move from their homes.  The pandemic, of course, made every aspect even more complex,” said Colantonio President George Willwerth. “We got through it with constant communication and outstanding teamwork with the BHA, Owner’s Project Manager Hill International, and BWA Architecture.”
