CAMBRIDGE, MA–Cambridge-based, architecture and design firm, CambridgeSeven, has been named lead architect for Somerville, Massachusetts’s new Cambria Hotel.
Construction on the new 98,000 SF, 6-floor, 164-key hotel will commence on August 1, 2019, with an estimated completion date of February 2021.
Cambria will be located at 515 Somerville Avenue, a short walk from Harvard, Union and Porter Squares. In addition, the destination will house a 150-seat restaurant.
Working along side developer, The Noannet Group, CambridgeSeven has envisioned a upscale, select service hotel that is strikingly modern yet a warm addition to one of Greater Boston’s most energetic and forward-looking communities.
In addition, the new development will create outdoor seating for the restaurant as well as green space to improve the overall streetscape that will provide breathing room between residential buildings and the hotel. For this project, CambridgeSeven will focus on utilizing sustainable materials.
