BOSTON — The Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB) recently held its 29th annual ski outing for members and their guests at Loon Mountain in Lincoln, NH.

The highly-anticipated outing is one of BRAGB’s most popular events of the year, and offers attendees the opportunity to build relationships with other members, spend time with friends outside the office, engage in friendly competition, and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

BRAGB_SkiOutingForty-five skiers spent the morning enjoying soft corduroy runs on Loon Peak and North Peak and 2” of new snow on higher elevation trails. Following a brief lunch break around noon, those in attendance congregated on the mountain’s “Coolidge Street” trail to prepare for the trip’s annual ski race. Each racer participated in two runs down Loon Mountain’s course; the faster of the two runs was recorded for official scoring. FBN Construction ultimately took first place in a field of 10 teams.

The day was capped off with an après ski party and brief award presentation in the Governor’s Pavilion base area. In addition to the race awards, BRAGB also handed out consolation prizes to other entrants and provided complimentary food and drinks.

“In addition to the many professional benefits that BRAGB members enjoy, we recognize that in order to help our members grow and foster new business opportunities, sometimes it’s helpful to get out of the office and do something recreational,” said Lorraine DeVaux, BRAGB Chief Executive Officer. “Whenever we ask members about their favorite events of the year, this ski trip always tops the list. It allows everyone to get off the jobsite for a little mid-week break, meet up and ski around together. It is also a great way to get some exercise and take advantage of the New England landscape during the winter. We love coming to Loon Mountain every year, and we look forward to continuing the tradition next winter.”

Next year will mark BRAGB’s 30th annual ski trip. They have visited Loon Mountain for more than 10 years. Located just two hours north of Boston, the ski area is easily accessible by car. With 370 skiable acres, six terrain parks, and a vertical drop of 2,100 ft, the resort offers big-mountain skiing and varied terrain in a convenient location.
