Newton, MA – Barkan Management Company, with 178 properties under management in seven states, has continued its expansion in the New England region with new management contracts at Hammondswood at Chestnut Hill, in Newton, MA and the Villages on Mount Hope Bay in Tiverton, RI.
Hammondswood at Chestnut Hill is a 59-unit condominium community located at 629 Hammond Street in the sought-after Chestnut Hill neighborhood. Known for its excellent school system and close proximity to world class restaurants, health care facilities, shopping, and several country clubs, Hammondswood is just five miles from Downtown Boston. Barkan assumed management of this community of two- and three-bedroom units in June 2019. Account Executive John Thiboutot, CMCA is responsible for the day-to-day operations with the support of Assistant Property Manager Meghan Wilson.
The seven-member Board of Directors at the Villages on Mount Hope Bay, a 187-unit community located at 120 Schooner Drive in Tiverton, RI, tapped Barkan in May 2019 to resume full-service management. Barkan had managed the community from 2010-2017.
Vice President Jerry Meaney (assisted by General Manager Meghan Ostroff on site) will oversee the operations of this lovely community of townhomes and mid-rise condominiums overlooking the scenic Sakonnet River. Amenities include a beautiful clubhouse with library, game room, and fitness center, as well as a pool and tennis court.
