Boston— NKF Capital Markets announce that Executive Managing Directors Mike Doyle, Dave Cederlund, and Jamie Wolfe, along with Senior Financial Analyst Chris Minor, have joined the firm’s Boston office, forming the Corporate Capital Markets Practice Group (CCM). CCM will serve the firm’s domestic and international corporate occupier and property-owning clients.

The team joins NKF Capital Markets from Lighthouse Asset Finance, LLC (Lighthouse), an innovative, market-leading structured corporate finance platform.

Doyle, Cederlund, and Wolfe formed Lighthouse in late 2016 after working together for more than 25 years in leasing and asset finance at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) and its predecessor companies. Since 2012, the team has closed over 85 financing transactions totaling over $7.5 billion in asset value.

In recent years, the team has focused on financing corporate real estate assets and has developed unique financing solutions that produce value-added results for both corporate occupiers and property owners. A main area of focus has been on originating, structuring, syndicating, and executing synthetic lease and finance lease structures for single-tenant properties occupied by high credit quality tenants who seek to minimize the impact of their occupancy strategies on their financial statements.

These structures are particularly beneficial in view of the new lease accounting standards which become effective January 1, 2019. In addition, the team is highly experienced in arranging a wide spectrum of corporate credit-based real estate financing structures, including credit tenant leases (CTLs), lease enhancement structures, secured debt, sale/leasebacks, and like kind exchanges.

“We are excited to join and work with the growing and dynamic NKF Capital Markets team and their affiliate Cantor Fitzgerald,” said Doyle. “The NKF Capital Markets brand, collaborative approach and commitment to its clients is a natural fit for our team’s focus on providing pro-active and strategic financing solutions. We are pleased to be able to establish CCM and look forward to helping the firm achieve its goal of being the premier global commercial real estate services company.”

“We are highly confident about the prospects for this innovative team to leverage the NKF Capital Markets platform and deliver differentiated financing solutions for our corporate occupier and property owning clients,” said NKF Chief Executive Officer Barry Gosin. “This team possesses the entrepreneurial character and strategic orientation that is necessary to succeed in this business.”

“Having a dedicated and experienced national CCM provides NKF Capital Markets with another valuable tool for our clients,” said NKF Capital Markets Co-Head of U.S. Capital Markets Robert Griffin. “Adding their technical expertise will augment our structuring capabilities and capital access for our global client base. It’s another win for the firm’s growing capital markets division.”
