BOSTON–After developer Millennium Partners announced on Wednesday that Millennium Tower’s grand penthouse in Boston is under the sale and purchase agreement, the town is abuzz with the question: who is the mystery buyer? At 13,000 square feet, the property had been listed for sale for $37.5 million.

Millennium Partners, developer of award-winning projects in Downtown Boston and around the country, announced that The Grand Penthouse, the largest unit at Millennium Tower Boston, is now under agreement. The penthouse had been listed for sale for $37.5 million earlier.

In accordance with Millennium Partners confidentiality policy, neither the buyer’s name nor the purchase price will be released. However, Millennium Partners officials have confirmed the buyer’s intention to occupy the space as its family residence, Millennium Partners said in a statement.
